Located on the Plate of Capcir, in Catalan country in the Pyrenean mountain, the ski station of the Angles was created in 1964. From there, this pleasant winter sports resort has a popular success because of its snowing up and of the quality of its installations.
The station has a 50 kilometers skiable field, furrowed by 31 tracks. The tracks of any level (black, red, blue and green) offer feelings to the beginners as to the experimented skiers. The maximum altitude is 2,400 meters and the minimal one 1,600 meters (uneven of 800 meters). The School of the French Ski, the school Ski N'Co and the private instructors propose collective or particular courses of ski for all levels, including for children as of the 3 years age. The handicapped people are not forgotten, and an adapted material is at their disposal. About ten shops propose the hiring or the sale of sports equipment. In the respect of the safety of the tourists, a team of trackers first-aid workers takes care on the tracks of the station, and of course, on the holiday makers. For the comfort of the visitors, the station of the Angles set up a system of free shuttles, in order to connect, the tracks, the village, the trade or the places of leisures. For young people (between 2 years and half and 12 years old), the recreational centre is open in period of school holidays, every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
