Located In the Mercantour Park, near the Mediterranean coast (80 kilometers from Nice), Valberg is a winter sports resort of the Alps Maritimes, holder of the label "Family Plus Mountain". The activities of snow are numerous and varied. The capacity of reception makes possible to answer the request, however it is preferable to book in advance a hotel or a hiring for a stay at the end of December the turn of January or during Easter holidays.
Tracks: Minimum altitude 1,500 meters - maximum Altitude 2,026 meters. Skiable field 90 kilometers, distributed on 52 tracks (green 11pists, 13 blue tracks, 22 red tracks, 6 black tracks). The skiers have 22 ski lifts (ski-lift and chair-lifts) to reach the tracks. The snowpark accommodates the surfers in music. Courses of ski, private individuals or collectives, are proposed by the French School of Ski. Various disciplines are taught (ski touring, Alpine skiing, excursions in rackets or seal skins…). The sport stores of the station rent the material (ski, shoes, toboggans…). In these shops, the tourist can buy the skiwears (anorak, combination, gloves…). For the handicapped skiers registered in an association, possibility of loan of adapted material. Station "Family Plus Mountain", Valberg holds a personalized reception to the children and their parents. A ski and nursery formula, reserved to the between 3 and 9 years old children, enable them to ski a half-day and to be devoted to play activities in the afternoon. The Piou Piou Club proposes courses of ski 3 years old children. Possibility to have a toboggan training course (children between 2 and 6 years).
